Overview
This one-day, hands-on high-resolution anoscopy (HRA) course is designed to provide the practical skills necessary to begin performing HRA. The course emphasizes foundational technique through supervised hands-on experience, while underscoring that ongoing practice and clinical experience are essential for achieving proficiency. A 1:3 ratio of participants to colposcopes and hands-on stations is ensured to provide ample hands-on time for every attendee.
To accommodate scheduling needs, the course is offered on two separate dates; both sessions deliver the same curriculum and learning experience.
Target Audience
This course is intended for healthcare providers interested in beginning to practice HRA. It is appropriate for physicians (MD, DO) and advanced practice providers (NP, PA) from a range of clinical specialties, including family medicine, internal medicine, infectious disease, gynecology, gastroenterology, and general or colorectal surgery.
The course is designed for beginners with little or no prior HRA experience (0–25 independent HRAs).
Prerequisite
Participants must have completed the IANS Standard Virtual HRA Course or an equivalent program prior to registration to ensure familiarity with foundational concepts and to maximize the hands-on learning experience.
